When English settlers landed in Australia they saw a large animal that jumped extremely high and far. Using body language and signs, they tried to ask the aboriginal people what it was. The response was Kan Ghu Ru. The English adopted the word kangaroo. What the aboriginal people were saying is "we don't understand you."
